DrakeTech Archive

  • So I’ve decided to create a new blog, hosted at http://gametime.draketech.net This is a more personal blog, loading it up with game reviews of the games I’m playing.  Currently I’m just trying to get it filled up, but will eventually be putting up posts in which it will update every week on Sunday with a new game review.  I’m also updating it periodically with other tidbits as well.  If you’re into that kind of thing, go ahead and check it out.

  • As my internet connection becomes more and more stable in the passing months there will be some slight changes. I will be moving my remaining websites over to my virtual private server (vps) as well as liquidating some of my unused domains. One of my more important updates is that I will finally have the resources (both time and money) to finally make my more dominant sites what I’ve been dreaming for them. The domains getting moved to my vps: sxnill, draketech, wearecityfeature. Domains for sale: left4dead3forums.com, and possibly dracondigital.com. More updates coming in the future.

  • I was pretty shocked to find out, as I don’t really pay attention to such things (except for actual comments. Give me some comments people!), but I took a quick look today and noticed we were well over 1,100 subscribers. Exciting times, and even more so here in the next few weeks once I start adding the PHP workshop. Keep in touch, guys.

  • As a message of explanation, JediTank has been down for about 12 hours now (and is still down at this moment). This was due to a glitch within my current tethered internet connection, failing to upload files properly, so I had to wait until I could get another resource to upload them. Currently, Rayden is taking care of the matter, and the site shouldn’t be down for too much longer. When the site comes back up, however, we will be running on vBulletin 4.1.2, with a lot more changes coming in the near future. We apologize for any inconvenience, and until next time!

  • DraconDigital is now live, and awaiting everyone to come check it out! It’s a new project I’m working with an old friend of mine, and even if no one but us decides to join in, it’s still going to be a blast being there DraconDigital.com is a personal showcase, which permits members to upload their music, videos, artwork, photography, pretty much any kind of digital form of expression you can think of (and if you can think of one we didn’t, feel free to suggest it and we’ll make it happen). Blogs, galleries, forums, live chat, private chat, community based currency based on sharing your own items, you name it we got it. The best part, is that you can purchase advertising with the website based currency! There are so many features here right at launch, that it would take me all day to list them off here. You’re just...

  • For those like me who absolutely love tanking in MMO’s, and are incredibly excited about the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, my new project will more than likely be a good site for you. I’m currently working with all of the latest information until the game has been released and have compiled enough to get my next project up and running.  With any luck to go with my efforts, it will quickly become an authoritative resource for tanking and healing in The Old Republic.

It was a small gaming-clan site combined with a free forum package. Afterwards I ran various small clan forums for different online games. In 2001 I became forum moderator for Reakktor, a German based mmorpg developer. Only a few months later I became forum administrator and was in charge of a team of moderators. In 2003 I switched to Duplex systems, another mmorpg developer. Starting out as a moderator, I also moved up quickly to administrator and not long after that I was hired as Community Manager. I left the team in 2005. In 2008 I joined forces with a technical artist from the game development company Bioware. We launched...

  • Joshua Drake Alias(s): Joshuad, jd-inflames Title(s): Drake Technologies Owner / Global Administrator Specializes in: web development, with skills in design, SEO, marketing, and server management Bio I started working on my own websites in 1998 when I was 13. The internet was a bit of a different game back then, but I was intrigued so I persistently attempted to make my name heard. My first website was a personal blog (there wasn’t exactly a LiveJournal or MySpace back then) and filed it with everything I liked, including lyrics to my favorite bands. For several years, my first site was the top listed website on Google for tool lyrics. In 2004 I started my own micro company, Drake Technologies, as a supplemental income. Currently, all of the revenue generating websites I’ve owned have been sold due to financial problems, so its time to start working again. Current Websites: Currently Owned DrakeTech.net,...
