Dragon Age 2 has made its mark!

So I was standing in line at GameStop at 11:30, waiting to pick my early copy for midnight release, and even now over 2 weeks later, I still can’t get around to doing everything that I’d like to do with the game.    Considering my hectic work schedule both with my full time job as well as the work I do online with my too long of a list of websites, I’ve only found about 8 hours to play (it’s pathetic, I know).

On the other hand, those few hours have been…interesting.  The game is set up directly after the events of the DAO:A campaign, so the overall environment was amazing.  A few old favorites were in the game, such as Flemeth and Anders, and I really can’t wait to find more.  The graphics have been tweaked a great deal, and unfortunately that is probably one of the downsides.  I’m gaming on a 32 inch CRT style television, and I can’t read hardly any of the text, meaning if you aren’t playing on a large HD TV, don’t expect to get the full experience from the game.  There are a few things that help, such as the contextual clues when performing dialog between two characters indicating whether or not the option is good, evil, or witty.  Once I get the opportunity to get a larger TV, hopefully my experience will be better.  I’m sure it would look better on my laptop too in terms of UI.

I suppose I’ll update more once I’ve gotten a little further.  Until next time!

About Joshuad

I'm an avid gamer and technology enthusiast with a lot of passion for programming and design. I've been creating websites for over a decade, and administrating them for almost as long. As far as gaming is concerned, my parents bought me an original NES when I was 3 back in '88, and haven't been able to get me off since. Hope that details a little bit about me, and rationalizes my irrational passion for my hobbies.
